     Praised for performances full of passion, poise and precision, Arman Keyvanian enjoys a versatile career as a conductor and pianist. Mr. Keyvanian’s conducting has been described as having a sense of “rhythm and ensemble, a refined ebb and flow of music and an inner fire and passion that simply cannot be taught.” In recent years, he has participated in many different projects ranging from conducting concerts of Middle-Eastern pop music to Western classical concert music. His past engagements include Guest Conducting the Lark Musical Society Orchestra, Music Director and Conductor of the Guy Manoukian ensemble in concerts in Los Angeles, organizing a free public concert with the Chapman Chamber Orchestra as Guest Conductor, and Assistant Conductor of Pasadena City College’s production of Mozart’s “The Magic Flute.” Currently, Mr. Keyvanian, founder of the Los Angeles Music Partnership Association, serves as the Music Director and Conductor of the Glendale Consort. The Glendale Consort recently performed at the Ambassador Auditorium in Pasadena, CA with a program of Brahms’ fourth symphony and Rachmaninov’s third piano concerto with solo pianist Sergei Babayan.

     As a pianist, Mr. Keyvanian has performed numerous concerts throughout Northern and Southern California including performances at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Zipper Hall, the Performing Arts Center in San Luis Obispo, and has been invited, on several occasions, to perform with the Glendale Symphony Orchestra at the Alex Theatre. He is currently a frequent soloist and collaborator at the Music@Mimoda concert series in Los Angeles.

 

     Mr. Keyvanian holds degrees in both Piano Performance and Conducting and is a winner of numerous competitions and awards. He has worked with pianists Sergei Babayan, Dr. Grace Fong, and Dr. Louise Lepley. Notable conducting instructors include Mark Stringer, Atso Almila, Jorge Mester, Kenneth Kiesler, and Donald Brinegar.
